| Ultimate Ghouls'n ghost | Action / plateformer | Many think that this is the best version of this game, even better than the Megadrive / Genesis port. |
| Megaman maverick hunter | Action / plateformer | Probably the first 2D side scroller game on the PSP. It's easier than all NES iterations, thus may be a good entry point to the series. |
| Outrun 2006 | Racing | You may prefer to play it on PS2 because the analog stick of the PSP is less precise. |
| Soreyuke burunyan man portable | Shoot'em up | Exclusive to japanese market. |
| Saint seiya omega | Fighting | Exclusive to japanese market. Definitly not the best fighting game on the platform, but worth it if you are fan of the franchise. |
| The 3rd birthday | Action | Playing it on PSVita allows to use the second stick, which provides a better control |
| X-Men Legends 2 | Action RPG | |
| Ys the Oath in felghana | Action RPG | Remake of Ys III, probably the best version of the game |
| Ys Seven | Action RPG | Back in time, this title was exclusive to the plateform, but it has been released on PC in 2017 with enhenced graphics and framerate. |

| Assassin's creed bloodline | Action | The game is short and not alway appreciated |
| Burnout dominator | Racing | A bit more realistic than Burnout Legends and overall has better graphics too. It also exists on PS2, but PSP version allows up to 6 players. |
